High-spec Laptop won't play simple game.

A friend has a new Rock T7800 2.6Ghz with 2GB RAM , Geforce 7950 Go GTX 512MB Graphics. XP Pro SP3 , DirectX 9 - all drivers up-to-date.

Her mother when visiting wants to play a simple Reflexive Games puzzle -

Mah Jong Quest 3 - yet it won't play.

Won't even start.

Same .exe installed on my Dell T7200 Geforce 7900 GS runs easily as I would expect.

Think I'm getting hung-up on the graphics, any ideas why this game won't run?

 

Since it's new, is it running Vista? If so, try running the game in WinXP compatibility mode.
