Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

    Please follow the steps below:

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Once you have follow the procedures given to you, we will help you. You did not even look at them. You have multiple AVs running. We indicated in the procedure that this should not be done.

It also looks like you may have 3 firewalls installed. At least 2 for sure. Real bad idea.

Just incase you do not follow what I was getting at.

You need to decide whether you want McAfee or Symantec and then uninstall the other.
Also since both of these have firewalls, you must disable the firewall in WinXP SP2.

That's better but you still have not completed the READ & RUN ME.
The following have not been run:
    - MS Antispyware
    - step 6 with two online scanners and attaching the logs
    - not sure what else was not run.

Also what problems are you having now?

Hi back again i ran all the software and also the two online scans.
There seems to be a problem in my system restore.
I disabled it and ran all the software but it still is there.
    Attaching the two logs.
    Thanks

What malware problems are you having?

You should empty your Recycle Bin and also empty the Norton N-Protect folder that protects your recycle bin. Here is how the empty N Protect:

Emptying the Norton Protected Recycle Bin

Your previous HJT log did not show any malware. Your other logs only show NProtect and System Restore related files. If System Restore is disabled right now, you should be able to re-run BitDefender and it will be able to delete any files it needs to.
