Highly annoyed. I can't read my geekin' email!

    What's up? I hope someone can help me out w/ this. My wife can open her e-mail, but she cannot read the messages that ppl write. She does get the 'message' at the top of the screen, she just can't read the actual mail.

    This started after installing Outpost firewall free. I think that is just a coincidence though. I completely uninstalled the program out of a last ditch effort to resolve the problem, but to no avail. I am sure it is a browser problem, because I CAN get the mail to show up in Firefox. Why doesn't she just use firefox, then? She hates it. I have tried over and over again to get her to use firefox and...well, forget it. Anyway, I have tried setting the internet options to default with the security AND privacy tabs in internet properties for IE. That didn't help either. What's going on? :confused

    What version of IE are we talking here? What email service? Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, etc.?

    V 6.00.2800.1106 Comes with Win 98. The email is Yahoo.

    I fired up IE., something I rarely do to check.
    I'm running the same version of IE as your wife. I can see my email in yahoo with no problem. I use webmail which I assume she uses. If she uses a pop service to download to her computer and uses OE, then sorry I can't help. I've never used OE.
    But, I have to ask, Is she running the new Yahoo Mail? I switched briefly then switched back to the old reliable version. From postings, some are having problems with the new and "improve" version.
    If she is running the newer version, have her switch back to the older version and see if it fixes her problem.

    Everything seems o.k. now. ?? She was able to get her mail just fine last night....
