HiGrade 8615 won't boot - help?!?

Hi guys,

I need some help! I have the above laptop. The problem is that it will no longer recognise any hard drive and will not boot.

It gives this error:via rhine II fast ethernet adapter v2.41 (2005/02/16)
PXE-E61: media test failure, check cable.

PXE-M0F: existing intel PXE ROM.
Operating system not found.

I should explain that I have no idea what that means. I did however try to out my working ethernet cable in to no avail.

I checked the boot sequence but it only has 1: PCI BEV: VIA BootAgent
but it also lists the below items.
All IDE CDROM
All USB Floppy
All USB KEY
All USB HDD
All USB CDROM
All USB ZIP
All USB LS120

I have tried various sequences but cannot get it to boot. On the main screen in the bios it says Hard drive: None and the same for CD...I don't seem to be able to change this.

I also tried boot floppy discs with XP O.S. it went through the entire sequence until the very end when it said no CD drive found?!

Any help would be greatly apreciated - this is driving me mad!
