I have several items on my back-up log that have been there for some time. I am trying to delete a few but they come right back after going back in to look at the log. I know this is a minor item but thought someone might guide me in getting rid of them.

Just manually delete the file itself. Each item in the backup list has an associated backup log file with a date and time that matches what you see in HijackThis.

Thanks for getting back to me. I not sure what you mean. Anyway, I'll get back to you later as I'm going on vacation today.

You just need to go to the HijackThis backup folder which is created in the folder where you have HijackThis installed. Then just manually delete the files that relate to the items you are trying to remove from the backup list. You will see in the file names the dates and times that also appear in the Backup list in HijackThis.
