Hijack this file

    Hey this is all very new tome but I am willing to learn. Now that I have a good collection of syware I need to try to get rid of it all. I have and use spybot, adaware, spysweeper, MS spyware beta, Omegakiller and CWshredder. The latest is hijackthis, so I would really appreciate it if someone could look at my log and tell me what to kill/fix. Many thanks, Suther213

    Thanks. I have done all of that and I used the manage attachments to add the log file. What I haven't done is go painfully through the logfile using the posted list of what it all means . I assume some like yourself can scan the list and point me to the obvious bad actors to fix. Thanks.

    The first HJT log you posted indicates you did not run all of the READ ME FIRST (if that is what you meant by the above). At a minimum it reveals that you did not even do step one of the cleaning procedure (the two online scans). They must be run along with the other steps before posting HijackThis logs (which must be requested too). So as D3m3nt3d indicated, post a new HJT log, but only if the ALL the READ ME FIRST steps have now been completed.

    OK it will be a few before I can get back to this, but I am determined to kill the stuff. I've been reading some other strings and it seems that some of the folks here think the DSO exploit is an artifact of spybot...is that true? Am I chasing my tail here? I have fixed all the browser helpers and killed off CW with the shredder. I have tried to find the 1004 stuff in the regedit no luck, it seems to be different in each system. I also get stuff running im mem that is supposed to die on reboot but it never does. Bye for now but "I'll be back"! Many thanks for your help. See ya :)
