    Hi and Welcome

Are you having any malware issues and if so are they one of the below?

    • Is it popups? if so do they have a name.
    • Is your browser being re-directed to a less welcome site?
    • Does your Anti-Virus software alert you to a Virus/Trojan? if so whats its name.
The more info you can give us the better and quicker we can assist you, as we have some experts in malware removal based in this forum.

Majorgeeks is not a HijackThis review site, unless you are having malware issues and then we do review Hijackthis logs but only as part of this guide of other steps to take as alone Hijackthis is not a malwwre removal tool on its own, ijackThis is simply a tool that is used to identify browser hijackers and in some cases it will show entries for 'some' malware that is for instance running at startup. All it does is list a few of the thousands of registry keys that exist and it makes no inferences to whether anything being shown is good or bad. HijackThis does not come close to showing all malware that could be hiding on a PC. Anyone who has an infected computer and is relying on HijackThis without the benefit of running other scans such as MGTools, Spybot, BitDefender & Panda, CCleaner, etc. are more than likely still infected. In most cases, where there is one virus/trojan there are more. The goal is to remove all malware, and this cannot be done properly by just seeing a HijackThis log.

If you still have or feel you have active malware then the below guide and steps are what is best to run, once finished attach your logs to this thread.

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run theREAD & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can running steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
