Hijackthis problem

    When I run Hijack This, it is still scanning the Boot section when it stops and I get this message:
    Error during check!: InterFun (Datei C:\WINDOWS\system.ini kann nicht geöffnet werden. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process) ()

    Congratulations!: No immediate threats were found. ()

    any idea what this is and why it stops scanning?

    I thnk you have your products mixed up! I doubt that message is coming from HijackThis since it is not a malware scanning tool and does not look for threats. I would be willing to bet you are talking about Spybot Search and Destroy.

    Okay! So shutdown all other applications and try scanning. You are running something that has the system.ini file already open and locked. Try scanning in after booting in safe mode.
