HijackThis.zip is a compressed file which contains hijackthis.exe. The ZIP file is not an executable. You must use a program like WinZip to extract the file from the ZIP file. (Unless you have WinXP which has builtin ZIP files extraction capability). You must not save HijackThis.Zip to your Desktop. You should save it in it's own folder like C:\Program Files\HJT and then extract the hijackthis.exe executable file to that folder too. Then run you would run hijackthis.exe from there.
