HJT Log Please Advise

    This computer is running awfully slow. Dell demension 2300 1.8ghz processor with 128 meg of ram.
    I ran Spybot first run it found 134 items the second run 4 and was able to remove two of them. AdAware found 476 first run, second run found 32 and removed them all. CwShredder found 1 and removed it. Removed 2951 unnecessary files with easy cleaner.
    This is a friends computer and choose to leave security matters to those of you with the experience. Will check back late tonight or in the morning.

    Bumping does you more harm then good! We look at threads with no replies and the oldest threads first. Bumping gives you a reply and makes you new not old.

    Please read the Announcent and the sticky threads and follow forum guidlelines. Do not post HJT logs unless requested and do not post them in line Also HijackThis must be installed properly.


    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.


    After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem:

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).

    Thank you for that information. i read the sticky after I posted, my mistake. I right away tried to edit my thread and found no way to do so, guess it is a fool I do look like. Anyway the problem has\was just now solved. again thank you.
