hmmm OS help plz.

Currently i have xp pro, and i use this method to find out about my pc -
Start > run > type 'dxdiag' > and voila! there my pc info.


Now im thinking about getting a new pc, and its OS is media centre, how do i find out information about that pc?


(When i say find out i mean, graphic card, cpu and RAM etc)

 

Media center is essentially the same as XP pro. You will have directx, and you will be able to use 'dxdiag' ap per usual.

Other ways to find information aout your computer:

System Propeties
This can be accessed by:
1. Hitting windows key + break
2. Right-clicking My Computer and selecting 'Properties'
3. Opening Control Panel, and double-clicking 'System'

Computer Management Console
This can be accessed by:
1. Right-clicking My Computer and selecting 'Manage'
2. Double-clicking 'Computer Management' in 'Administrative Tools' of the Control Panel
3. Using the run dialog to run 'compmgmt.msc'

System Information Utility
This can be accessed by:
1. Using the command prompt to run 'systeminfo'

XP home, XP pro, and XP media centre are all XP and are essentially the same, save for some minor functions/software.
