Only on the Malware forum... you can reply on any of the other support forums as long as you are a registered member. The Malware forum is special... ;)

    Hi

The Malware forum is special in that you have to be an authorised user to post into this section, or a very capable user in removing malware*.

Reason we changed the policy of anyone replying to malware questions was that it became a mess/confusing when multiple users posted their advice and a fair amount of it was wrong and could have made matters worse. Which is why as you will agree its best to have continuity in helping someone remove malware from their PC.

You can read the posts and study their methods to learn all you want though. Get good enough and request an examination if you desire. Isn't that one way, Kestrel?

Yes I am very anti social and don't go out alot :-D I love my computer, am always glued to it. Learning to remove malware is wonderful... (no doubt there are going to be times where you become equally frustrated as you will delighted) but I spent alot of time observing the way things are done here when I fist joined, used to log on every day and just slowly go thru the malware forum over endless cups of coffee. Started to see the "pattern" and starting to delve a little deeper.

Enrolled in an online malware removal university, but as Chaslang mentions, these universities often take a long time to respond to your practice logs which, if you've waited long enough, you tend to lose flow of what you were doing. I am not criticising these universities, I learnt alot while I was attending and had some fun along the way but Chas's procedures from what I can see are just a work of art. To me his ways are the only way :) I have to say I learnt more from him and the others in the first two months here than I did anywhere else.

Its fascinating and intriguing and if you have the free time and patience to dedicate and devote to such a worthy cause then go for it!

Thats fair enough and yes always great to have others jump in and use their knowledge to help others, if and when time allows, so your .02 is very welcome.
