Holy Crap!...Help!!

    Just downloaded my first ever (that I know about) virus or spyware or something. All of a sudden I cannot open and internet site or even a folder on my hard drive without a phony critical error message that says:
    Critical Error!
    Attn: Your user name! Some dangerous viruses detected in your system. Microsoft windows XP files corrupted. This may lead to the destruction of important files in C:/windows. Download protection software now!
    Click OK to download the antispyware (Recommende)

    Then whether you click yes or no or X it takes you to

    http://free-virusscan.com/id/4912933/4/1/

    I have tried running my antivirus but nothing is showing up.
    Anyone??
    Please help!!
