I've been looking for a while and haven't seen such a thing, but, has anyone seen any wireless speakers?

Surrpund sound is great, speakers wires all over the place is not.

I don't want to have to do any major wiring, etc. so finding a device that allows your speakers to be wireless would be absolutely awesome.

    Anyone seen such a thing?

10,000 Watts each? So what reciever do you use (model # please) that can put out nearly that much? Or did you build your reciever too?

Cool thing about the Internet...you can be anybody you want! ;)

    Cough, cough, BS!, cough, cough

Well, If he had 10 1,000 watt speakers in the cabinet, then It would equal 10,000 watts. Then have 10 1,000 watt amps hooked up to each cabinet.

It is like those generic pc speakers you can buy. 800 watts! Yeah, when you add up all the wattage. I could do the same. My crappy bose home theatre can dish out 660 watts. 110 watts per channel.

Hmmmmm unsure about these so-called speakers with built in amps plus having 2 18"subs built in......

    I agree...

OK, if you don't have any pics, thats cool. But I am very interested!

Could you give us the outer dimensions of the cabinets? (Hight, width, depth)

Could you also provide the manufacturer and model # of the built-in amps, the model # of the eight 18" subs, as well as the four 10" subs, sixteen 6" subs, and tweeters.

Also a price breakdown, as well as the total cost would be nice.

Could you also give a detailed description of the wiring? What amperage circuit do you have this all plugged into? How many amp service does your house have?

How about some SPL #'s? If you went to all that trouble, I'm sure you did some measurements, right?

Not calling you a liar, I just find this very interesting and would like to know more.

    G.T. R.I.P February 4, 2007. You will be missed.

Me too. Like what kind of crossover network was used, what frequencies and slopes, and how much power was allocated to each driver set. In speaker arrays of that power, the crossovers are normally done before the power amp stage, as no crossover network can handle that kind of power. Also what kind of planning/tuning was done for the enclosure(s?). Just sticking drivers in a box usually sounds like crap.

Still not calling anybody a liar.... :D

Something smells fishy. Post some pictures of the actual system, not components online.

I think I am gonna go with the Kenwood linked earlier and put together my dream system.

Then, once I wipe up the drool, and later, the tears (because I can't afford it), I'm gonna go see Star Wars.
