    hello,
I m trying to establish network connection wih my neighbour.
he has comp and laptop (via wireless) connected to router, from his router ther is also a connection (wire) to my place (cca 20m). If I directly connect this cable to my laptop or comp connection is established and interet is working, but when I try to connect my router first and then laptop and comp, internet doestn work but connection is established.
    any thoughts?

So from one of his ethernet ports, you are connecting to your internet port in ur router which then allows u to connect ur pc's to ur router right? and you say you have no internet connectivity?

seems strange, is your router working fine if you try it within his house or within your own house with you own connection? that could be the problem

"Your router" needs to be set as an access point ....not as a router.

Two suggestions ...make sure the passphrase is the same on both (manually input it if two different manufacturers) ...
Your should be in bridge mode ....and also make sure the encryption key is the same.
