Honda stop f1

Honda have just said they are pulling out of F1.
Who's next??

I'm not surprised, they haven't had much success in recent years and they're probably losing money as a result of it. Hopefully they'll focus more attention to their production cars and release something that can compete in the market of today.

 

that's weird considering they just came out with those commercials not too long ago comparing their cars to the F1 cars they build...the ones where their cars sound like formula 1 cars

 

I am sorry but I disagree with you on Honda making a good production car..

Honda/Acura has just about anything a person could want.. ie: for years people wanted Honda to build a van and a truck.. they have both now..

lets take Ford as a example.. My Dad was a loyal Ford person for his whole life.. ( may he R.I.P. ) long story short.. my Mom now has the 97 Ford Windstar that he/they bought new from Ford..( he would have bought a Honda Odyssey .. but at that time they only had a 4 cyl. engine in them.. now they have a V-6 .. which is what a van/car like that needs as it is so heavy * weight * ) that car has been the biggest piece of junk I have EVER seen in my life.. I bet my Mom has spent 10K at least on repairs/maintenance on that van.. it always has something wrong with it and it only has ~50,000 miles on it..!!!! now the POS has a blown head gasket which if you do a search on it, is a common problem on ALL 95 -98 Windstars.. had that been a Honda.. Honda would have put out a recall on that and ALL 95-98 Windstar vans would have said problem fixed at no cost..

how do I know this information..???? I worked on NOTHING but Honda's and Acura cars my 20 + years of being a certified master technician until major back problems put me on Disability.. ( Ok so I did and could work on just about any car or truck.. but Honda and Acuar cars I knew inside and out as I had been to Honda school so many times.. thanks to the dealership..!!! )

yes I know this is going way off from F1.. sorry about my rant... honest..!!!! but give Honda a try when you go buy your next car.. and I am willing to bet you, if you buy a good one.. not a old clunker.. you will never go back to buying anything but a Honda..!!!! I made the mistake of buying a 07 Mustang GT.. it is still under warranty and has been in the shop to many times to count for all the problems it has.. the worse one being a very bad mildew smell that they can't fix.. but they did replace the carpet padding as they found mildew on the padding.. but no leak found..??? if you have mildew.. you have a water leak.. HELLO..!!!!! and it only has 4,500 miles on it..!!! :cry
come to find out.. there is a TSB bullitin on MY problem.. buy a FORD.. NOT ME or my Mom .. ever again...!!!!

I like Honda cars (never owned one)
Here in Belgium the Accord is a very popular model
The way you pay road tax here is a variable scale linked to the BHP developed by the motor, so unless you are a business man/woman and can off set it against tax owning a big gas guzzler is not viable.
The reason i have never owned one is that i always thought they were expensive for what you got, compared with other cars, i have a Lexus ( the small one) at the moment and like it a lot.
