Well i visited my grandmother today, checked out her webtv set up and i was disgusted.

You can barely read the text at all. She is using a 14" crappy TV.

I tried adjusting the TV settings, lowering the contrast made the text easier(still bad tho) to read but it made her pictures look like crap.

Christmas is coming soon, and it would be great if i could enable her to read her e-mails and surf the web and actually read colored text. She has glocoma(spelling) for god's sake.

There has to be a way to hook a CPU monitor up instead of that tv. If i can get her internet/e-mail looking good she wont care about watching tv with it and she can use her tiny tv in the other room anyways.

The webtv box has A/V jack(thats how her tv is hooked up) and it also has an s-video jack.

I assume that the problem is the tv's low native resolution. And we are unable to change settings with webtv system.

Can you guys help me figure out how to hook up a cpu monitor using A/V or s-video????

    Thx alot.

that would probably work but i was hoping there would be an easier way, considering she probably doesnt want anymore devices.

Getting tv on the monitor doesnt matter, she just needs her webtv internet and e-mail on the screen.

I dont think a bigger tv would help display the text. and she doesnt have room for a bigger tv just for her webtv thing.

cant really afford that smarthome thing + a monitor.

    thx for the help tho
