Re: Troj_BDDTSRVER.a, new trojan/virus- anyone dealt with this before?

it almost sounds like the one I have got now. I had one at one point that wouldn't let me boot up some of my games and such. It was called vd16.exe I believe. with some other files draw32.dll vdnt32.sys, etc etc. also some files with the endind of .a3d

If this one is like the one I have it records all your keystrokes from what I've been reading and sends them to however gets your ip then all your passes and such are taken by them. I still have problems with it and am looking at reformatting, but it's tough cause i have pics on here and my cd burner and gone crazy on me... so it's format and get rid of this and lose photo's i took 17 hours up north 150 miles into the bush -_- or keep my comp going and have all my info leaked lol. Anyways look for those files maybe ya got them too unless there's difference variations of this thing out there?????

Your problem is not related to the one here. You should have started your own thread. I'll be moving you to one. The one you posted in was: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=58975

You do not need to format. Just follow the directions below.

    Please download: HSFix.zip
Extract the files from the ZIP File to a folder that you can find (preferably in its own folder - like c:\HSFix). Now boot to Safe Mode open the HSFix Tool folder and doubleClick hsfix.bat and let it run. It will produce a log here - C:\hslog.txt

Now reboot in normal mode and post that hslog.txt file here as an attachment.

Then run the below procedure. Do no skip any steps!

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem:

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).
