Does anyone have any links that talk about this in detail? Most sites kinda mention it in passing and I'm still not clear on this point. To my udnerstanding ALL SATA II drives are hotswappable. Meaning you can plug them in and take them out without ever shutting down windows.

I've always been kinda unwilling to test this theory, but the last computer I got even has front panel SATA ports to plug a sata drive into on the fly. So I'd just like to know if all SATA drives are hotswappable or not? Right now, I believe the SATA standard has always been to include hot swapping but I'm not sure if full support was added till SATA II.
