Hot Tub Party

Tonight is the annual "Giant Hot Tub" party at my house. It's not really a hot tub, we crank the heat on the pool just for this event. Last year was 96F, and as of right now it's at 92F, so it should be up there again this year. Overnight temps right now in our area are usually around the freezing mark, so we will be renting a portable space heater for the pool deck because not everyone will be in the pool. Alcohol consumption will be allowed thereby increasing the probability of optional swim attire. At least one girl does every year. She was the first one a couple of years ago, I remember feeling someone swim by behind me, and I turned to see two medium sized "islands" floating by. You gotta love girls like that. If you have a pool I highly recommend an evening like this, but remember you have to be careful with water quality when the temp gets that high.

I went out to start the pool pump this morning... no pumping, just a hum. Oh no, no pump, no maintaining heat, no party, no floating islands. Fortunately, my new friends at Columbia Electric (shameless promotion) were working today. I whipped in there with the pump, they adjusted the internal switch, and I was up and running in under 40 minutes. All for a contribution of $20 to their beer fund. I gave them $30.

damnit you should of told me i would have driven up there just for that it may have taken me a week to get there but still its worth it
