OK...Here goes....Not even sure if this is a Malware problem or what..but if it has happen to someone else, maybe you can help me resolve the problem...I get on the computer this morning and check my yahoo email, well there is a new message from my hotmail email account labled "no subject" (that I dont remember sending). So I go and check my hotmail account and there are about 10 "postmaster@mail.hotmail.com, Delivery Status Notification (Failure)" emails in my inbox...looks like the email was sent to every email contact that I have (and some bounced back)...there is nothing in the "sent" folder and nothing in the "deleted" folder...the email sent seems to have two different links in the message part of the email..the 1st link is:

    .pracodawcawuk.republika.pl/CkpUbCU6O0.html

    the 2nd is:

    oens.w.interia.pl/P0zpT2KIev.html

This may have been sent in two separte emails..its hard to tell...I am not one that shares my email alot and really visit the same websites all the time (rarely visit new sites..and never would give my email). I am running XP and this is the 1st problem of this kind I have had.

Has anyone had anything like this happen to them, any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Hi

Someone is trying to spoof an email address asnd your account has been linked with the return address, just delete and block, this is becoming a normal occurance of late.

Yes had a few of late come back from postmaster and one comes back to my real email address but with a different email address so its its say fred @ thissite.com as read it comes back as bob @ thissite.com!

have edited the links to save users getting the spam that these folk are trying to spread.

Just delete any incoming spam. Don't open it at all? Obviously you don't want to block your own email address. Block any address that you receive spam from other than your own. You may hav just click on something that got you added to spam lists.

If the problem continues, we can look for malware ( run this: READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide )
