Hotmail sending strange email

Hey guys in the last month or two my hotmail account has sent out 50+ emails to people on my (hotmail) address book. I cant understand why as im pretty good at not opening things i shouldnt.

Ya, you've been infected. Head on over to the malware forum and do the 'Read and Run Me First' sticky and if the crap is still there post in the forum attaching the proper logs. Good luck.

The above link will give you directions on how to clean your PC of malware, if you still need help after following procedures you can post the requested logs in the Malware Forum as attachments and an expert will help you.

p.s. please don't post complete email addresses in the forum, just makes more work for the Admins that have to come and remove them.

 

This same thing happened to my hotmail account...you are not the only one. I never open any junk mail either. Im not sure how they hacked all the accounts, but they did. So, just a little sympathy.

It might not be your computer at all, though you do need to check. Spammers have been known to spoof email addresses, that is, send an email and substitute your name for theirs.
