Hotmail wont run in IE7 or FF2

Hi to all,

I have recently upgraded to FF2 from FF 1.5.x and IE7 from 6.

I have Nortons AV and firewall and the pc is xp sp2.

Whenever I launch a browser and try to get to hotmail, it tells me it won't work and I should download IE.

The details are sketchy here as I can't log on to the affected pc to get exact details, but I am hoping someone might look at this and say 'oh you doofus...just do this!!!"

Did you just recently install Norton's and which version do you have?

Norton Anti-Virus or the Internet Security suite?

The reason I am asking is there is an Ad-Blocking feature on Norton's that causes problems when trying to access your hotmail account.

Sorry for thew delay - I thought I was getting email notifications for replies - apparently not!

No, i haven't installed Norton Anti-Virus or the Internet Security suite recently, but I do run them both and Mrs B is a new user on this pc.

NIS 8.5.0.114

NAV 11.5.8.1

I will investigate ad blocking...
