i'm not familiar with that program, but there are a number of ways to keep that browser hijacking from happening, ever.

in particular, search hijacks may be due to a toolbar or freeware you have installed (and that may have inserted themselves in your host file). if this is an ongoing problem, DO post in the Malware forum with some more details and the following info:

what are your system particulars (OS, RAM, processor, etc.)
which browser are you using, and what version?
any particular BHO's ("browser helper objects" aka: installed toolbars, search or otherwise)
    any adblocker, popup stopper, anti-banner?
which AV/FW/security suite do you use?
    which anti-malware programs, if any?
when's the last time you did a scan with your AV and anti-malware?

i really recommend you start in the Malware forum. the experts there will give you all the help/info you need from cleanup to ongoing protection.

Hey cake... Sorry about the L8 reply. rolleyes

    My OS I'm using is:
    Win. XP Pro'02/SP3
    Intel Pentium4/2.40GHz/1GBRAM

My main browser is FF 3.5 but I think it's been upgraded recently, I only use IE8 to update the platform.

    OBJECT'S - (see att.)

I use a pop-up blocker, an add blocker & script blocker... never heard of an anti-banner.

    The guards I use are:
    AVG 8.5 (updated daily)
    Browser Hijack retaliatior 4.5
    Windows FW
    Peerblock (block's a whole load of attack's)

    Anti-malware prog's:
    Mbam + (reg assassin)

The last time I ran AV was yesterday & Mbam today.

Hope this is of some use. ;)

Anti-Banner is something that comes with my KIS 2010 (Kaspersky suite, AV/FW/anti-malware).

like i said, there might be some info in the Malware forum that might help you and there are some certified experts that definitely will. i'd post there...you could just post a link to this thread and add any additional questions.
