How can I check my ping with game servers?

    Hi, I'm looking to get myself a 20 man cs:s server. I'm shopping around for good deals, and I'd like to know how I could check my ping with each server provider.

    They would probably have to give you an IP, and then you could ping it through the DOS prompt.

    Like PC Jedi Master said....

    Contact the server provider and ask them for an IP of a server you can ping to get an idea of the connection quality of their servers.

    if/when they give you one go to:

    Start > Programs > Accessories > MSDos Prompt or Command Prompt

    and then just type "ping <ip here>" like "ping 192.168.1.1" for example

    then it will give you the ping time :)
