how can i compress an mp4 file to fit on my mp3 player and psp

    i have some movie files up to 900mb to 600mb and my mp3 player only has 1.5gb left and my psp has only 2 gb of memory (i have 4 files) how can i compress them all to fit on each device

    i am using windows xp home edition service pack 3

    i have heard that there is software like this for macs and apples but i don't have one, i appreciate the help
