How can I get rid of ALL traces of IE?

    In all honesty, about the best way I can think of is, switch to Linux. I.E. is an integral part of Windows, unless something has changed that I don't know about(entirely possible).

    you can't delete IE as it's part of windows. If you delete IE you could crash your windows. all you need to do is download another browser and make it your default browser.

    start, control panel, programs and features, turn windows features on or off, remove check in front of internet explorer, OK. No doubt a restart is in order. Have never done it, but it is available on this W7 32bit PC. Will just disable it as far as I know. I don't like using a web browser so tightly integrated with the OS, and usually don't, but that is the world with windows.
