I hope I come to the right place to post my question.
A few days ago, I deleted some files and folders for freeing up the drive space and unfortunately wiped out some useful folders that had contained many private images and files. Do, in order to restore them back, I immediately checked the Recycle Bin. But, there was nothing left. So, I am wondering whether there is a way for me to get back these deleted folders. Do you have any idea? How can I regain these deleted folders? I really need your help!
    Thank you!

Greetings, Arnold0039, and welcome to MajorGeeks.

Try this: download and extract Recuva portable to a flash drive and run the program - it's pretty successful software.

By the way: what operating system and Service Pack # are you using?

OK! In you case, I also agree you to try a data recovery program.

In fact, as I know, the deleted files on a computer drive are not actually erased as you think. They are only moved to a folder named “Recycle Bin”. As long as they are not rewritten by anything new, they can be stored there forever. So, I hope you have not write any new file on this drive yet since then.

But, what you now should do is to restore all your wanted folders back with the help of a data recovery program before they are all overwritten.

Do you know anything about data recovery stuff?

If not, you may try to use some drive data recovery freeware available for everyone online, such as the already mentioned Recuva, TestDisk, iCare Data Recovery Free and PhotoRec, etc.

You’d better pay much more attention to selecting a proper one for your drive.

PS: Next time, no matter what happens, you should never forget to back up all your important files on separate drives or locations in case of similar data recovery problems.

Thanks for your guys’ data recovery programs!
Actually, I am not really familiar with the deleted file recovery problem and do not know what to do. But, after reading your guys’ answers, I know that the data recovery program can be a good way to go on. So, I directly tried your mentioned data recovery program, especially the listed data recovery freeware in the answer of Abbott00589. His answer is really useful and helpful. All his mentioned data recovery freeware work really well on my compute, especially the last one that has finally restored the largest amount of my original data.
    Thank you very, very much!!!!
