hey im back again, but i think i got a new problem, i dont know if its malware or not. but whenever im surfing the net just my pc, ( not everyone else's, we have 4 pcs hooked up to the wifi) stalls out for 2-3 seconds and then starts again. like if im typing something i can continue to type but it wont show and then it'll all come up like all at once and then be fine for another minute or so. does anyone know what this is?? ive done scans and all...should i renew my winsock?

Most recent? As in 1.5.0.6? Or the beta build/nightly build?

A couple questions come to mind.

Have you installed a lot of fonts in the past?

When exactly did this issue come about? What program did you install, that caused FF to stall like this?

Okay, I did a quick test on my machine. Though, I figured I knew the answer anyway.

Yes, uninstalling and re-installing FF will keep your bookmarks and whatnot.

In addition you didn't use any FF tweaks for "increasing performance" of firefox? Most of them are a complete Farce. at least for me. :)

Yep, sometimes a new Firefox profile is the only thing that will help. Glad to hear that worked, and you're welcome.:D
