How do I check video card tempature ?

I've read about people doing this, how is it done? My GeForce 8800 GTX just burnt out, I replaced it with a GeForce 8800 GT . It's a smaller card but I can't see any differance. I would like to keep tabs on my new card. The 8800 GTX was two and a half years old.

It is like combining the above 2 into 1.
