I am using XP for the first time and I want to enable S.M.A.R.T in CMOS. When I had Windows 2000 things were very straight forward but with XP I can't even see a listing for S.M.A.R.T when I enter Bios.

Can some kind soul please tell me what I need to do.

    Thanks

That's weird as an OS has nothing to do with BIOS.:confused

I assume you are using a different computer then the one you are used to. The BIOS is stored on your motherboard- it is not changed by upgrading/changing your Operating System (or version of windows)

This particular Bios option may be listed under a different heading then your used to, keep looking around.

If you're still stuck, look for help in your Motherboard's manual.
