I have a SCEPTRE monitor, I would link you to it but 1 problem, the limited time offer ran out. It's about 6 months old now, I have 2 USB slots and 1 green for sound and 1 pink for a MIC. Some reason I can't get any volume to come out, usually I wouldn't care, but I like to hook up my PS3/360 to if my kid/wife are using the HDTV in the family room.

It sucks playing something with no sound :p. I remember when I got this monitor I used the Pink slot when I first bought it.

Do you have to activate something in windows?

I have windows xp atm and this is the Sceptre 22 inch with dvi/hdmi/vga.

    Thanks

The bright green plug should be the one, remember both volumes have to be turned up, the one on the pc and the monitor will have a volume control. ed

See thats the weird thing, I know the green is for the sound and I have the monitors sound up to.

Trust me I'm not a noob at this, but damn. I'm really not liking SCEPTRE, they gave me a POS dvi cable that died in 2 days. I found out it wasn't just me, then my hdmi port fried.

I'll check to see if my volume is down again :). thanks for the reply.

Do you have any external speakers that you could hook up to the pc just to see if that end works? If they work you will know its the monitor thats the problem. ed

are you sure you have "wave" volume up and unmuted as well? also, what kind of sound card do you have? i have a sb live sound card, and in order for my speakers (not monitor speakers) to work correctly, i had to go in and select "digital output". also, did you check your settings (don't know if it will help), in "sounds and audio devices"? g/l, sos

edit: you should really try and hook up some speakers to your comp to make sure that port works. or do you have a walkman, mp3 player, etc., that you can plug into your monitor speakers? that way your not spinning your wheels (so to speak), trying to fix something, when it's another problem.
