How Do I Reinstall Windows XP?

I would like to know if there is anything I need to know.

 

Why do you want to reinstall Win XP?

 

I have somthing on it like spyware on it not letting do anything.

 

Can you get as far as your desktop or into Safe Mode?

Yes I can get into safe mode but avg (free) virus scaner and webroot's Spy sweeper can't find any thing.

 

A way to reinstall WinXP would be to put your XP CD in and let the PC boot to it, when it boots follow the prompts to the setup screen and when it finds your install just delete that install and start fresh.

 

Reinstalling XP should really be the last step you take. I wonder if you've approached the people in the malware section of this forum, as they could probably get your computer back operating without having to go through a reinstall. Most people don't like to reinstall, because it most often leads to a loss of all your data.
