How do I remove a redirect?

This is not a malware problem. It is just advertising links that you are blocking from appearing. And when they are blocked, the URL Assistant program ( or something similar ) you have installed ( Do you have a Dell PC? Then thank Dell for this. ) is redirecting you since it cannot find the actual page to display. Uninstall URL Assistant and you should be ok. The other choice is to stop blocking the ads.

 

Yes and that is what URL Assistant is and if you uninstall it, the problem goes away. Sometimes it is not called URL Assistant. It could be called something else like Browser Helper or Browser Redirector.

The one you mentioned ( CBrowswerHelperObject ) is BAE.dll which is Browser Address Error director or something like that which is still frequently installed on Dell PC and is similar if not the same as URL Assistant. They used to have a different name. If you run this Getting Uninstall Programs List From The Registry and attach the log, I can probably tell you if something is still installed.
