    Hi

What you could start off with is to use EaseUs Todo and clone your existing hard drive so that you can recover the clone to the new hard drive which will basically get you back to where you are now with your Windows version and all apps on the new drive.

    Easeus todo download HERE

Some great steps from Easeus on HDD replacement HERE

But what you could do if your PC is currently running ok is to just add this new drive as a download and save data drive and move all your docs, pictures, music and saved files etc from the C drive to this new one, and all you would need to do is to make sure the jumper on the new drive is set to Slave and the main drives jumper to Master (their are diagrams on the hdd case to the setting) then pop the new drive on the middle connector of the IDE ribbon cable, if it doesnt have a middle connector, youll need to get one and easy place is PC World or Maplins.
