Those two cards are woefully inadequate even in SLI. You need at least one of the 8800's in SLI or the new 9800 gx2. If you go with the 9800 you'll probably need a new PSU, if you go with the two 8800's then you'll definitely need a new PSU. To use SLI you have to have two identical cards an SLI Bridge and of course an SLI capable mobo (which you dont have).

This is assuming you absolutely must play Crysis at the highest settings and at a high resolution. If you can live with turning them down a bit then you could just get the 8800gts 512 MB (G92 version) and you'll be able to play great at near max settings.

Personally Crysis isnt a game worthy of that much money and effort.

Alot of people think that graphics card memory is everything (cant really blame em since thats the number that they like slap on their boxes in huge print) but its not, its only one of many specs to consider. Just for a point of reference two 8600's SLi'ed together is still inferior to a single 8800gt. Yes its very expensive but as you know Crysis is the most demanding game out there. If top of the line hardware were cheap dont ya think everyone would have it : P

The 8600gt is a great mid range card. You'll be able to play most games at max/near max settings just fine.

Heres a great site to compare graphics cards. http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics_2007.html
