How do I set up the audio from the tv out?

My motherboard, ASUS a7n8x-e deluxe, has tv out. Which all sound lovely, but I can't work out how to get the audio through to the tv. I'm using a 2 rca cable - one to the video input and one for audio. The video works fine, alas no sound. I'm not sure if I need to change speaker settings (I've tried all I can think of) or a different plug/cable/socket (again tried everything I can think of) or is there something else. Any ideas?

    Cheers.

Most cases the TV Audio out is the same jacks used for your speakers. You just need a simple adaptor cable, Male Subminature Jack to Dual Female RCA Phono Plugs. These can be bought at Walmart, Radio Shack, or most Mom and Pop Electronics stores.

That's how I do it on several of my computers.
