they give me a day off whenever i want in the month of my birthday. can't get much better than that.

 

Celebrate? Who has time for that? If I'm working on my birthday there's no time for anything other than work. My friends might say "happy birthday", but that's about it.

On the other hand, I'm no longer 12, so it's not that big a deal for me.

 

My wife had a gorilla sent to my shop with balloons and a tootsie pop bouquet once.

 

It's a damn good thing that I have a bunch of cardboard boxes in my storage room. for more than one occasion.

 

We have a once a month social event for birthdays, switch off between cakes, tarts, cupcakes and assorted pastries. Summer months we have it outside and play lawn games.
