How do you fix code 39?

My sony cd rw drive was working fine now all of a sudden it is giving windows can't load driver either missing or corrupted code 39 - I uninstalled it and reintalled it and the secondary ide channel- - it recognizes it is there in systems but not on my computer
so i reinstall origanls drives lg cd/rw ced 8080b- will same result and can't locate a driver for it worked fine before i pulled upgrades to the system- also removed filters in registry upper filters etc with no luck

also got this on chkcsk removing entry from $s11 from file 9

any thoughts to why system is doing this on any drive i put in it?

 

As you have already uninstalled the filters in the registry, have you removed/uninstalled your burning program, ran a registry cleaner, and reinstalled the burning program? If not, I would try this!
