A cab (cabinet) file is an archive file similar to zip files
the same application you use to decompress your zip files will generally decompress a cab file

    ie: winzip, winrar

    Glad it worked

Winzip does a wide array of archived files including Cab

I generally only use winrar for Rar files (bit less common)
