How Do You Make Tumblr Less Awkward?

Recently I've been looking at a couple Tumblr's (1st time I've been there IIRC lol!) and I noticed a couple of annoying "features" (?) that make it feel like a chore to browse the pages.

1. There ARE no pages. Everything just stays on 1 page so you could have 600 million pics and every time you pass a certain point, the internet has an aneurysm while another 100 pics load underneath. Seriously... Who decided this was a good idea? Sack this guy, immediately!

2. Problem 2 is a by product of problem 1, and twice as bad: Say you were looking through a tumblr and you got to what "would" be page 20. Now, you've had enough of the PC for a bit so you go off to do something good like save the rainforests. When you get back, you realise that you're right back at the 1st "page". Now you've got to scroll past about 20 "loading points" and each loading point freezes up the computer for atleast 15 seconds... HHHHHHHAAAAAAARRRRRGH!

Thats about the shape of it... Is there any way to make Tumblr actually enjoyable to use? If not, I'm moving on lol!

Infact, this is exactly the fix I need but those options don't exist on any Tumbr pages I've seen. Is this just Tumblrs way of forcing people into signing up? The sneaky bleeders!
