How far can you place a pc...

    away from a HUB. I just started a new project. I am wiring a huge garage. The CAT 5 I ran ranges in distance. I know there is a distance limitation on devises. I am planning an installing 2 wireless lynksys. Does anyone know how far away I can place a device like a PC and how far away a wireless device.

    325' aprx. Switches behave like repeaters and if placing away from a WiFi device, there are numerous limitations (structure of the building, interference, other RF devices). I take it everything is going to term. back at a patch panel, and from there into a Switch and to the Router and modem?
