How fast is you IP connection?

At 24k bits/sec upload/download it takes many days to download a single CD ISO image. Some days, especially early in the morning, I'll get a connection of 26.4k bits/sec and I'll go download crazy.

yeah, I was surprised too. See, but it makes sense now. Verizon is installing FIOS in our area and offering TV with it so Time Warner now has some serious competition and hence the serious boost in speed with no change in cost. FINALLY Time Warner gets it. Though I didn't expect speeds that high.

I live 50 miles from Orlandfo and about 300 miles from Atlanta

 

Using the above link (Denver about 50 miles away) I download at 2143 and up at 346. I am on Comcast cable and when using Toast.net test get 4954 down and 414 up. I used the host Nibble in Chicago as a test. What kinda connection do you guys use that gets the much faster test?

I'm on Roadrunner (Brighthouse) cable. If you run the tests over a couple of times, in a period of a couple of hours you will find they vary greatly!!

that is most likely due to net congestion at peak times.
