How hide msconfig startup list entries?

It is well known that <Start, Run, type msconfig, OK> launches the XP System Configuration Utility in which the Startup tab reveals a list of programs started at boot which can be Enabled(Disabled) so they will(will not) be launched during the bootup sequence.

It is also well documented that active and orphaned items on that list can be removed by deleting them from the Registry keys such as HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SharedTools\MSConfig\startupreg
    and
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

I, however, want to hide certain startup programs from prying eyes.
I WANT them to be launched at startup.
I do NOT want them to be displayed on the msconfig Startup tab list.

Does anyone know how to do that? TIA.

Perhaps I did not make myself clear.

I do NOT want to disable a startup program.

I want it to continue to be launched at startup.

What I want is for it NOT to be listed on the msconfig startup menu.

    Whoops, yes you did, sorry.
I haven't heard of that. There may be a registry edit you can do, I did a google on that but the answer pertains to removing unused entries. I think if you did that, the program wouldn't start.
Maybe someone else here has other information?

Yeah, if it can be done, it must be a Reg edit.
I just don't know the Reg that well.
