How Increase Virtual Memory - any downloads?

Hello. I'm very much a novice. My "Virtually Memory Low (increasing memory)" pops up often on my Windows XP (Compuserve IP, 128 SDRAM, 56k modem, 40gb hardrive). Are there any freeware programs that help increase virtual memory. Also, just trying to speed up my computer while I'm online (I mostly use Ebay, no games, etc). Any free dowloads that will help? Thanks

 

Have you tried making your pagefile bigger? This will increase your total amount of memory available to programs.

Right click my computer and click properties. Click the advanced tab and click performance settings. Click the advanced tab again and click change virtual memory. Click "custom size" and put a number in there bigger than what you already have by 50%.

 

Go here and follow all the steps, and you'll experience serious performance increase.
