I'm running windows XP sp3 and about 2 days ago, I contracted the dreaded malware, Pc Antispyware 2010, using firefox. I've tried everything from manually deleting the files (such as braviax) and repairing the registry - with avenger - as directed by many malware removal sites to downloading and running MBAM and CCleaner. MalwareBytes seemed to do the trick UNTIL I reboot my pc. Seconds after I connect to the internets, my windows firewall is disabled and the SOB malware is back at it again. While all this is happening, AVG has blocked a file called "figaro.sys", but the dreaded cycle proceeds as usual. This leads me to believe their is some sort of hidden bug that continues to install the malware even after it is deleted. Any help would be massively appreciated!
