how to automatically run a blocked program?

    I recently got a new pc thatwas built by a friend of mine. Everytime i turn on my pc i get an icon in the system tray saying that i have a blocked program, and this program is Microsoft Works Updater.

    I have no problem with letting this program run automatically, so can someone tell me how to let it run automatically please?

    What firewall are you using? Check its software list and make sure Works Updater is allowed through the firewall.


    If just the built in Firewall and I'm guessing at XP as the OS as you not mention what Windows your using? try these steps http://support.microsoft.com/kb/842242

    Im using Windows Vista Ultimate, and ive looked on my McAfee and windows firewall and the program isnt on neither of the 'allow' lists.
