I used a £1 coin the quality of the metal improved the sound.

 

Has anyone actually tried this? I'm very dubious.

 

i tried it, DIDNT WORK lol

and the penny was pretty darn shiny...maybe ill clean it and try again. i didnt even get any sound though, not even a crackle or nothing

 

This was such a hoax, Im surprised anyone tried it. This defies all logic.

 

Good way to burn up a amp too. That penny is a dead short.

Sound is produced by movement, either a pizio crystal moving or a magnet moving.

 

haha me and my friends tried the onion + gatorade to charge an ipod... you can guess how that turned out lol. we were sitting there plugging the USB thing into the onion and i said, "you know, this guy is probably laughing at all of us retards plugging an ipod into an onion." haha it was funny though

seriously lol it was probably one of the funniest things ive seen if you think about it realistically...i mean COME ON, how the hell is a freakin' onion supposed to charge ipod, let alone give it enough power for it to register as charging...
