I'm trying to find and delete a file in the KERNEL.

The file is called WCMVCAM. I did a search in the registry and tried to delete it and it would not allow me to.

That appears to be a webcam driver from Microsoft, if you delete it, it will probably be silently restored when you next start Windows.

If you can find it in Device Manager (you may need to enable hidden drivers), you may be able to change the way that it starts or even block it from loading.

What problem are you having with it?

    EDIT: I see: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=275280

Does the webcam work normally (without Manycam/Webcam max running)?

Do you have IE10 installed yet?

I don't actually have a usb webcam plugged in. I'm not using any webcam. I'm using the software like coolwaremax to basically play a video file and transmit it like a webcam over services like yahoo or any other cam services.

Coolwaremax will work on it's own and I can play any videos on it...but when I try to connect it to yahoo or any other cam service, it either doesn't connect at all (there's no picture), or it'll say webcam not connected or not found.

In Yahoo's options, when I look up the "camera source" it will tell me the camera source is this Microsoft WDM Image Capture (win32) thing.

It really should say the source is "Webcam Max" but it's not there. The problem is it doesn't even detect it or find it. On my backup computer, it works fine. Whenever I start any cam site service, it will AUTOMATICALLY open up webcamMax (as it has been set as default webcam) and start transmitting whatever video file I have dragged into the program to play.

But on my main computer, when I try to start up a cam on a site, it won't open up webcamMax at all. It's as if it's not detecting it or it's somehow being blocked or interferred with perhaps another driver?
