    File Name: MRU list
What it does: Unknown, or atleast I don't know.. but I know it is bad.
How to delete: Download the program from javacool software called MRU blaster.
Where to find MRU blaster: Google.com search engine, search MRU.

    Thanks a bunch,
    Darkpain

Many programs can easily remove MRUs. And they are not bad.

    Even Ad-Aware will clean MRUs.

MRU = Most Recently Used . It is just a history of what you have most recently done/used on your PC. It is similiar in concept of your History mechanism when you surf. If you don't like leaving any tracks then you can clean them. But for most people they are non-issues that should just be ignore.

You could also use a number or prorams here on MGs to remove MRU's

They will always come back as you do things on your PC. The MRU is constantly added to while using the PC.

Again I repeat, they are not bad.

Well, I ran ad-aware and MRU came back. So I did nothing and ran the scan again, and there it was.

What MRU are you referring to? And did you tell Ad-Aware to remove it? And running the scan itself is doing something?

You seem to be ignoring the main fact: MRU's are not bad

I understand that, I used ad-aware several times trying to delete it, every time it quaritined it.

You did not answer my question! Which MRU?

And why quarantine? Why not delete it if that is what you want to do?

And I don't understand what the point of all this is anyway? No one really needs to worry about MRUs unless they are afraid that some one is watching what they are doing. If that is the case, I would first ask why? And then I would say MRUs are not as important as cleaning up all of you History info and TIF information.

Most Recently Used (MRU) lists contain information such as the names and/or locations of the last files you have accessed. The only way NOT to have an MRU list is NOT to use your computer. The purpose of clearing the MRU list is privacy; no one will know your recent activities on your computer, i.e.: sites visited, documents opened, programs used, etc. Read the FAQ in MRU Blaster.

    MRU (most recently used)...
I see, well that isn't what I am talking about.
When I first got my Windows XP I had nothing.. then like 2 years later I got Ad-aware SE and I ran a scan, no MRU<<
And well, I guess you see my point.

Oh, and I followed your instructions about winfixer 2005, and I hope they work.
I got it because I was looking for registery fixers.. I guess I should of scanned it with avg before downloading it :\

No! I don't! MRU's are alway on all Win XP systems. You cannot avoid it unless you do not use the PC. Whether you configure Ad-Aware SE or another program to scan for them is something different.
